Hana Vlaho is a pianist born in 1982 in Split, Croatia. From an early age, she showed a natural inclination toward music, eagerly playing on the small piano she received as a gift. Playing well-known melodies by ear, her mother took her to maestro M. Katunarić, who unequivocally confirmed her talent. Her musical education began at the age of eight in the class of Prof. Lorenza Baturina.

After completing primary and secondary music school and the Vladimir Nazor Gymnasium, she continued her studies at the Music Academy in Split, graduating ahead of schedule in 2004 in the class of doc. Robert Gubaidullin. During her studies, she participated in many national and international competitions, winning numerous first prizes as a soloist and in the piano duo discipline. She gave a notable performance at the first International Etudes and Scales Competition in Zagreb and at the Lions Club Competition in Rijeka. In 2001, she participated in the 18th International Competition in Porto, Portugal, as the sole representative of Croatia, and performed two recitals.

She furthered her skills with renowned pedagogues such as J.F. Antonioli, K.H. Kemmerling, R. Hoffman, R. Muraro, P. Garcia, L. Morales, and F. Wandschneider. She has performed at numerous concerts throughout Croatia (Split, Zagreb, Labin, Rijeka, Makarska, Dubrovnik) and abroad (Latvia, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina).

In 2007, she became a mother and since then has devoted more time to chamber music. She collaborated with the Music Academy in Split in 2004 and 2005 as an accompanist. Since 2005, she has been working as a music educator at the Music School in Makarska, and in 2009 became the head of the piano department.

In her pedagogical work, she enjoys challenges, always explores something new, and consistently leads her students to first prizes at national and international competitions. She is a distinguished educator with over 20 years of experience, known for her dedication and individual approach to each student. She pays special attention to fostering musical sensitivity, good work habits, and a love for music. At the end of 2022, she was promoted to the rank of mentor. She serves as a jury member at international competitions in chamber music and piano solo.

She experiences the art of piano as a fusion of knowledge, discipline, and emotion. Through her work, she strives to transmit not only technical confidence but also a deep understanding of music as a universal language.
