With the edition of 11–15 April 2025, the international Polyhymnia competition marked ten years. The first edition in 2016 had 76 participants; the anniversary edition had 420 competitors.
The competition was created by flutist Nikolina Eftimova-Todorovska and pianist Verica Šotarovska, who have built it with a team of colleagues for ten years, so that young musicians can meet, compete and learn from each other.
